Advising the Joint Lead Managers in respect of the US$1 billion sukuk al-ijara for Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development Company;

Advising the Joint Lead Managers in respect of the US$600 million sukuk al-ijara for Dar Al Arkan Real Estate Development Company;

Advising the Lead Manager in connection with the Tajeer Sukuk, the first Saudi Riyal denominated sukuk issue by a private company in the Saudi market;

Advising a leading Saudi housing corporation on the creation of a SR400 million development fund;

Advising Gulf International Bank in respect of the AED600 million sukuk for Almana, a large Qatari corporate;

Advising Calyon in respect of a US$350 million sukuk issuance – the first sovereign sukuk issue to be listed on the London Stock Exchange – for the Government of Bahrain;

Advising Dubai Islamic Bank and Barclays Capital on the US$3.52 billion sukuk with pre-IPO subscription rights – the largest sukuk to date – for Nakheel;

Advising the Joint Lead Managers in respect of a convertible sukuk for Dana Gas;

Advising the Joint Lead Managers in respect of an AED7.5 billion sukuk for Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority;

Advising the Joint Lead Managers in respect of a convertible sukuk for Aldar Properties PJSC; and

Advising an international investment bank in respect of a US$5 billion sukuk programme.

Imran is Partner in Hogan Lovells and has practiced in the Middle East (including Saudi Arabia) for almost 7 years, primarily focusing on the areas of Islamic finance and capital markets. Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Imran worked in Saudi Arabia for a leading international law firm. Imran holds a LLB (Hons) degree from the University of London. He is qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales and an attorney-at-law in New York.
